Keep someone in the dark, dark是“黑暗”的意思，让某人一直在黑暗里，其实是“让他们蒙在鼓里，不知道发生了什么”，to not tell them important things that other people know.
比如：这个女孩被蒙在鼓里，She was kept in the dark.她对发生的事情一无所知，可以用介词about，She was kept in the dark about what happened.平常我们对别人说，你不能瞒我，就可以说：You cannot keep me in the dark.
Dark这个词，注意不要读成大可，中间的元音是/ɑr/，dark，末尾的辅音读的很轻，/k/，dark，in the dark. keep someone in the dark.
