Tolerance and toleration

这两个词都有“宽容；包容；忍受”的意思，Interchangeable的使用问题并不大。但是，二者还是有区别：toleration更多用于政治和社会习俗上的“忍受；包容”，比如，宗教宽容 religious toleration。而tolerance 则更侧重于态度上的包容，比如“对拐卖妇女的零容忍”zero tolerance for trafficking of women; “容不得任何玩笑” no tolerance for jokes of any kind.

另外，Tolerance还有“公差”（They were working to a tolerance of 0.0001 of a centimeter）和“耐受性”（tolerance to alcohol）的意思
