Once there was a unicorn.

He was white like the moon.

And his horn was magic.

It could make rainbows.

很久很久以前，有一只独角兽。

他周身洁白就如同天上的月亮。

他头上的角具有魔力，

能变幻出彩虹。

It could make muddy water clear.

It could fix cuts and broken bones.

But the unicorn did not care about his magic horn.

He wished he had wings!

他的角能让浑浊的水变清。

他的角能愈合皮肤伤口，还能治愈受伤的骨头。

但是独角兽并不在乎他神奇的角。

他想要的，是一对翅膀！

The unicorn went to a castle.

The castle had a garden.

It was filled with flowers and butterflies.

独角兽来到一座城堡。

城堡里有一座花园。

那里充满了鲜花和蝴蝶。

“I wish I had wings like yours,”

the unicorn said to a butterfly.

“My wings are too tiny for you,”

said the butterfly.

“我希望能拥有你的翅膀，”

独角兽对蝴蝶说。

“我的翅膀不适合你，太小了，”

蝴蝶回答。

The unicorn went to the woods.

He looked up into the trees.

Birds flew and landed in the tree branches.

独角兽来到森林。

他抬头仰望郁郁葱葱的树。

树枝上来回飞着以及站着一些小鸟儿。

“I wish I had wings like yours,”

the unicorn said to a bluebird.

“My wings are the wrong color for you,”

said the bluebird.

“我希望能拥有你的翅膀，”

独角兽对蓝色小鸟说。

“我的翅膀颜色不适合你，”

蓝色小鸟回答。

The unicorn went to a pond.

Frogs jumped.

Dragonflies buzzed.

Snowy white swans swam in the water.

独角兽来到池塘。

青蛙跳跃。

蜻蜓嗡嗡。

水中游着洁白如雪的天鹅。

“I wish I had wings like yours,”

the unicorn said to a swan.

But the swan just shook her head.

“我希望能拥有你的翅膀，”

独角兽对天鹅说。

但是天鹅只是摆了摆头。

The unicorn walked on.

He came to the sea.

He lay down and fell asleep.

独角兽继续往前走。

他来到海边，

躺下来，睡着了。

Something touched the unicorn’s nose.

He opened his eyes.

There was a white horse——with white wings!

But one of the horse’s wings drooped.

It was hurt.

什么东西在碰着他的鼻子，

独角兽睁开眼睛。

原来是一匹白马——还有白色的翅膀！

但是白马其中一只翅膀耷拉着。

它受伤了。

The unicorn stood up.

He put his magic horn to the horse’s wings.

The wing grew strong.

It did not droop anymore.

独角兽站起来。

他用魔力之角治疗白马的翅膀。

翅膀不再耷拉着，

变得强壮了！

The white horse spread her wings.

She flew toward the rising sun.

白马展开双翼，

朝着初升的太阳飞向了天空……

“I wish I had wings like that,”

said the unicorn.

He looked down sadly.

“我希望能拥有那样的翅膀，”

独角兽说。

他垂下头，很忧伤。

He saw himself in the water.

He had big white wings!

The unicorn stretched his wings out wide.

他看到了水中自己的倒影，

竟然有了一双巨大而洁白的翅膀！

独角兽完全打开自己的翅膀。

Then he flew after the white winged horse.

The unicorn wanted to say, “Thank you.”

接着，他也飞向天空，朝着白马的方向飞去。

因为独角兽想跟白马说，“谢谢你。”
