see red 生气，愤怒

讲解：see red 不是表达说看见了红色，see red here means to become very angry. 就是生气的意思。

例句：My dog made mesee redagain yesterday night!

我的狗狗昨晚又让我生气了。

see the light

恍然大悟，领悟了

讲解：see the light 直接从字面的意思上理解确实是看见了灯，当脑袋一团雾的时候看见了灯也就是恍然大悟，明白了，领悟了这个意思。

例句1：At first I was totally confused, but I began tosee the lightafter your explanation.

一开始我很困惑，在你的解释之后我就恍然大悟了。

例句2：It wasn't until I was in my thirties that Isaw the lightand started to work hard.

直到三十岁我才开始明白很多事情，开始努力工作。

例句3：This conversation made me suddenlysee the light.

这一番谈话真是让我醍醐灌顶，如梦初醒。

出现，问世，为人所知

讲解：so see the light of day means to become known by or available to a large numble of people, 意思是出现，问世，为人所知。

常见表达：

something sees the light of day

首次出现或者某书首次出版

a baby sees the light of day

婴儿出生

例句1：This book might never haveseen the light of daywithout the enthusiasm and support of my editor.

如果没有我的编辑的热情和支持，这本书也许永远无法面世。

例句2：These top-secret documents will probably neversee the light of day.

这些绝密文件大约永远也不会得见天日了。

see the things

产生幻觉了

讲解：I see things means I'm imagining that things are happening but when they are not. 就是说有幻觉了这个意思。

例句：I didn't sleep really well these days, and I think Isaw thingsthis morning.

我这些天没睡好，我感觉我今早都有点产生幻觉了。

see double

看见重影

讲解：See double, so If you are seeing double, there is something wrong with your eyes, and you can see two images instead of one. 就是有重影了，看见重影了这个意思。

例句：I startedseeing double, then I fainted.

我开始看见重影了，然后我就晕倒了。

see someone's true colors

看清某人真面目

讲解：So see someone's true colors refers to see sb's real character for the first time, especially when it's unpleasant. 也就是看清某人真面目的意思。

例句1：It was only when they started to work together that she began tosee his true colors.

直到他们开始共事，她才看清他的真面目。

谁懂啊，既好笑又惶恐，毕竟打错人名字还是很不礼貌的，何况我还是个新来的打工仔……
