上周五下午，《康熙来了》的老熟人Melody（艺名殷悦，本名刘恭显）无预警地宣布离婚，与富商老公结束了17年的婚姻。

将一个人所有的时间和精力都倾注在某事或某人上
讲解：devoted 意思是献身的，尽心尽力的，giving someone or something a lot of love and attention；而贤妻良母则可以说 a devoted wife and loving mother；devote oneself to something or someone，就是说to give one's time or effort completely to something you believe in or to a person，将一个人所有的时间和精力都倾注在某事或某人上。
例句1：She finally doesn't have to compromise herself anymore to bea devoted wife and loving mother.
她终于不用再为了做一个所谓的贤妻良母而委屈自己了。
例句2：It seems that a woman is supposed to make sacrifices anddevote herself tothe family when she marries a man.
似乎女性嫁人之后就该做出牺牲，将自己奉献给家庭。

(因形势、法律、义务等关系而)迫使，强迫
feel obliged to do something
认为有必要、有义务去做某事
讲解：oblige，意思是因为形势、法律、义务等关系而迫使，强迫。feel obliged to do something 就是说 feel that you have a duty to do something，认为有必要、有义务去做某事。
例句1：She once woke up in the middle of the night andfelt obliged tosort out the peaches.
她曾经在半夜惊醒，觉得要去把桃子挑选好。
例句2：Some men make their wivesfeel obliged to doall the housework.
有些男人让他们的妻子认为有义务承担所有家务。

burden /ˈbɜːdn/ 负担，责任
be burdened with/by sth.
承受某事的负担，被某事所困扰
讲解：burden 作名词表示负担，责任，它也可以做动词，be burdened with/by sth.表示承受某事的负担，被某事所困扰，to have a lot of problems because of a particular thing。
例句1：Women around the worldare burdened with“unseen” work, such as house cleaning, preparing meals, and taking care of children and the elderly.
世界各地的很多女性都承受着这种“无法被看见的”工作的负担，比如打扫、做饭，还有照顾老人和小孩。
例句2：Womenwere still burdened withdomestic drudgery.
女性仍然承担着家务之苦。

chauvinist /ˈʃəʊvɪnɪst/ 大男子主义者
讲解：chauvinism 或者 male chauvinism，表示大男子主义，a belief that your own sex is better or more important than the other sex, especially if you are a man。
例句1：Melody once complained about her husband'schauvinism.
Melody曾经抱怨过丈夫的大男子主义。
例句2：Her husband is a bit of amale chauvinist.
她老公有点大男子主义。

postpartum depression 产后抑郁
baby blues 产后情绪低落
讲解：postpartum 表示产后的，relating to the time immediately after a woman has a baby，产后抑郁英文是 postpartum depression。英文中还有一个词叫做 baby blues，就是指生产后出现的情绪低落。比起 baby blues，产后抑郁的持续时间更长，症状也更加严重。
例句1：Melody suffered frompostpartum depression.
Melody患上了产后抑郁。
例句2：There's a huge difference between the baby blues andpostpartum depression.
产后情绪低落和产后抑郁存在很大区别。
