大寒（ Major Cold）
Major Cold is the last of the 24 traditional Chinese solar terms. Like Lesser Cold, it also indicates the coldness of the weather. In north China, however, there is a proverb that “It is not rare that Lesser Cold is colder than Major Cold”, which means that it begins to get warmer after Major Cold.
大寒，中国传统24节气的最后一个。和小寒一样，大寒也是表示天气寒冷程度的节气。但是，北方农谚有云，“小寒胜大寒，常见不稀罕。”这就意味着，大寒过后天气开始逐渐回暖。
时处三四九，寒尽春将生。大寒作为二十四节气中的最后一个节气，是一年中雨水最少，温度最低的时节。在忙于备年货尾牙祭的同时，也不要忘记为自己和家人多添一件衣。
