——读杨平的画

蓝调，布鲁斯（Blues），一种音乐风，基于五声音阶的声乐音与器乐音，源于19世纪美国黑人劳作时的吟唱，曲调在忧郁、哭诉、无奈与安慰、纾解、奔放的旋律中来回展开，就像是受苦的人在向上帝倾述，而后得到了上帝的安抚与回应。蓝调是即兴的演唱与弹奏，是歌者自我情绪的随意宣泄，没有固定的曲谱，亦没有传统的格调，声音在自由的时空里飘荡，无需人为的雕琢和修饰。蓝调是真正自由的艺术，如庄子所言：至乐无乐，美者自美，朴素而天下莫能与之争美；或如孔子闻韶乐，不图为乐之至于斯也！

杨平本次展览以“蓝调”为主题，旨在凸显绘画的一种“蓝调”精神：既不受限于传统绘画的笔墨章法，也不迷惑于当代艺术的“奇巧淫技”，而是发乎本心、随乎本意、循乎自由想象与表达，将数十年艺术实践所炼就的“自我”大肆铺陈于宣纸，以绚丽多变的绘画风格向世间呈现自由心灵的动荡与沉静。杨平的“蓝调”，充满着女性的忧郁之美，朦胧缥缈的色彩映射出一种暧昧的意味，就像是对薄情人间的怨诉，却又洋溢着红颜令人心醉的魅力。绘画语言精致细腻，从容舒缓，如歌如泣，尽显“蓝调”最浪漫的一面，犹如在瓦釜雷鸣中一息尚存的清音。

杨平绘制的视觉世界，是精神的温柔乡？还是红楼梦中的那个风月宝鉴？抑或只是她的孤情独白？

Blues, a music genre based on the pentatonic scale, originated from the chanting of African American laborers in the 19th century. Its melodies unfold in melancholy, lament, helplessness, comfort, relief, and exuberant rhythms, as if a suffering soul is confiding in God and then receiving solace and response. Blues is characterized by improvised singing and playing, serving as a spontaneous expression of the singer's emotions without fixed scores or traditional styles. The sound drifts freely in time and space, not requiring artificial carving or decoration. Blues is a truly free art form, as Zhuangzi said: "The ultimate joy is joyless; the beautiful is self-beautiful. Simplicity is beyond the world's ability to compete." Or as Confucius heard the Shao music, it reached the ultimate in enjoyment!

Yang Ping's exhibition this time takes "Blues" as its theme, aiming to highlight a kind of "blues" spirit in painting: not confined by traditional painting techniques, nor deluded by the "crafty skills" of contemporary art, but originating from the heart, following inner thoughts, and freely imagining and expressing. The self-cultivated through decades of artistic practice is boldly displayed on rice paper, presenting the turbulence and tranquility of a free spirit in a dazzling and ever-changing painting style. Yang Ping's "Blues" is full of the melancholic beauty of women, with hazy colors reflecting an ambiguous meaning, as if lamenting the insensitivity of the world, yet exuding the irresistible charm of youth. The painting language is exquisite and delicate, calm and soothing, like a song and a cry, revealing the most romantic side of the "Blues," as if a clear note lingering in the rumble of thunder.

Is the visual world painted by Yang Ping a gentle haven for the spirit? Or the magnificent mirror of love and beauty in the Dream of the Red Chamber? Or is it just her lonely soliloquy?
