昨天，有做销售的同学问我，如何介绍他的职业。可以用I’m a sale来表示“我是销售”的意思吗？
sale 的确 有“ 销 售 ， 出 售 ”的意思，但老外一般不会这样 介绍自己是销售。
更常用的表达如下：
I am in sales.
我从事销售工作。
例句：What do you do for a living? (你做什么工作？)
I am in sales. (我从事销售工作。)
I work in sales.
我在销售部门工作。
例句：Where do you work? (你在哪里工作？)
I work in sales at a tech company. (我在一家科技公司的销售部门工作。)
I am a salesperson.
我是一名销售人员。
例句：Are you a salesperson? (你是销售人员吗？)
Yes, I am a salesperson for a car dealership. (是的，我是一家汽车经销店的销售人员。)
I am a sales representative.
我是一名销售代表。
例句：Are you a sales representative for this company? (你是这家公司的销售代表吗？)
Yes, I am a sales representative for our company's new product line. (是的，我是我们公司新产品线的销售代表。)

而sale这个词，在 职场环境中更多以sales 这种复式形式出现， 通常表达以下两个意思：
1）销售额
例如： The compa ny's sales for the quarter were $10 million.

今年该公司的销售额增长了 10%。
2）销售活动/销售部门
例句：The sales and the customer service departments are working together to improve the customer experience.
销售和客服部门正在合作改善客户体验。
