IT之家 7 月 19 日消息，现如今越来越多的中外厂商开始为手机加入卫星通信功能，而谷歌在这一领域显得有些“姗姗来迟”。

字符串显示，该功能可能会被称为 Pixel Satellite SOS（Pixel 紧急卫星通信），并有望为 Pixel 系列机型提供两年免费服务。

上面两段代码进一步增强了“Pixel Satellite SOS”这一名称的真实性。不过，该媒体在作出“两年免费”结论的同时，还指出此处的 {two} 可能是字符串中使用的占位符。

据IT之家此前报道，今年 4 月，同一外媒援引谷歌内部人士透露 Pixel 9 系列手机的调制解调器进行了升级，这其中便包括卫星连接功能。

Pixel 9 系列将首发搭载 Tensor G4 ，带来了一个全新的调制解调器 —— 三星调制解调器 5400，支持 5G 非地面网络（NTN：Non-Terrestrial Network），也就是基于卫星的通信。

根据规划，Made by Google 活动即将于北京时间 8 月 14 日举行，届时谷歌将带来Pixel 9 Pro / Pro Fold 等产品。
