The 16th BRICS Summit was held in Kazan, Russia from October 22nd to 24th, 2024. It’s know that on January 1 this year, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Iran, and Ethiopia officially joined the BRICS cooperation, increasing the number of member countries from five to ten. This historic expansion marks a milestone in the development of the BRICS mechanism and ushers in a new era of collective self-strengthening for the "Global South".
