In the new harbor district of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, HOME Docklands, built by HOME, has made a stunning debut. This building not only redefines the standard of rental housing, but also injects new vitality into urban life with its unique design concept and luxurious facilities.

Located at 685 La Trobe Street, adjacent to Marvel Stadium, Harbour Homes consists of two towering 30-storey and 31-storey towers with a total of 676 apartments. The project was completed by the HOME team in collaboration with the Victorian Development Agency, the City of Melbourne and the award-winning Cox Architects to provide residents with a world-class living experience while promoting urban renewal and development.

The exterior design of the building is unique, abandoning the traditional all-glass tower aesthetics and adopting a more textured material combination. The brick and stone structure of the podium adds warmth and a traditional residential atmosphere to the building, the metal elements pay tribute to the industrial history of the port area, and the concrete shows its inherent quality. The staggered towers break the building volume and perfectly blend with the surrounding streetscape, becoming a beautiful landscape of the Harbour New Area.

Walking into the Harbour Home, you will be greeted by Australia's leisurely luxury. Carefully planned by long-term partner and interior designer Ruth Welsby, the space cleverly combines a variety of materials, from velvet and brogue fabrics to leather, wood, stone and brushed metal, coupled with sculptural shapes and bold stripes and checkered patterns. Every detail shows quality and taste. The clever use of color injects vitality into the space, allowing residents to feel the warmth and comfort of home.

It is also a showcase for Australian art. Curated by the Victorian Crafts Association, it features works by many well-known and emerging artists, such as Marta Figueiredo, Carissa Caramarco, Dereze, Eamonn Donnelly, Grace Wood, Hussein Sami, Jody Hewitt, Lily Waters, Ryan Hoffman and Zakariah Fielding. In addition, public art works around the building, such as large sculptures by Jamie North, Vipo Sriwirasa, Alexander Knox and Megan Strider's light installation, also add a strong artistic atmosphere to the community.

The facilities at Harbourfront are truly world-class. The two towers are connected by a spacious resident facilities floor, which includes a 25-meter swimming pool, traditional sauna, infrared sauna and steam sauna, a professional Pilates studio and a comprehensive gym overlooking the stadium. The layout of these facilities takes full account of the views and natural light, with the west-facing lounge enjoying magnificent sunsets, the north-facing swimming pool bathed in sunlight all day, and the co-working center enjoying tranquil harbour views.

The facilities on the third floor are cleverly planned to optimize orientation, vision and function, and different ceiling heights create a variety of spatial atmospheres. Unique designs such as the vinyl record collection in the music room enrich the living experience of residents. The warmth of the interior colors and materials complements the functional design, equipped with a dedicated dining area and ample storage space to meet the practical living needs of residents.

The single apartments launched for the first time in the project meet the needs of different age groups, family structures and pet lovers, reflecting the focus on the diversified development of the community.
