今天（1月7日）9时5分，西藏日喀则市定日县发生6.8级地震，造成重大人员伤亡。今天下午，西藏日喀则市召开新闻发布会，发布会上通报，经初步排查，截至15时，定日县6.8级地震已造成95人遇难，130人受伤。

A total of 95 people have been confirmed dead and 130 others injured as of 3 pm Tuesday, after a 6.8-magnitude earthquake jolted Dingri county in the city of Shigatse in Southwest China's Xizang autonomous region at 9:05 am Tuesday (Beijing Time).

解放军和武警部队多支力量抵达震区展开救援

截至7日14时，解放军和武警部队多支力量抵达西藏日喀则市定日县6.8级地震灾区展开救援。

地震发生后，西部战区依案启动应急救援机制，联合组织指挥地面力量和空中力量前出勘察灾情，根据震区附近兵力、医疗、交通、天气等情况调派救援力量，同时编成前进指挥所赶赴现场。

9时许，西部战区空军派出一架无人机飞赴震中，第一时间回传现地情况。西藏军区先遣组从地面突进，抵达定日县长所乡了解灾情，西藏军区某旅派出2架直升机进行低空侦察。

Shortly after the earthquake, the Chinese military sent a drone to survey the epicenter area, the People's Liberation Army Western Theater Command said. Meanwhile, the theater command's air force immediately activated a disaster relief emergency plan, organizing multiple transport aircraft, medical planes, helicopters and ground forces to stand by.

11时许，武警西藏总队先头救援力量30人抵达震区，与驻地部队200余名官兵、民兵一起进行先期救援。目前，武警西藏总队已有408名官兵抵达灾区，西藏军区近千人投入灾区救援。

As of 11:40 am, over 1,500 local firefighters and rescue workers had been dispatched to the affected areas.

14时05分，战区前进指挥所已乘坐运-20赶赴灾区，组织指挥解放军和武警部队展开联合救援行动。战区空军多架运输机、医疗机、直升机已准备就绪，西藏军区、武警西藏总队1000余名官兵做好增援准备。

中国气象局启动三级应急响应

记者7日从中国气象局获悉，经综合研判，中国气象局于7日11时启动地震灾害气象服务三级应急响应，西藏自治区气象局根据实际研判进入相应应急响应状态。

The office of the State Council earthquake relief headquarters and the Ministry of Emergency Management initiated level-III emergency responses for earthquakes on Tuesday.

据气象部门预计，未来三天定日县以晴为主，最低气温-18℃至-14℃，最高气温0℃至7℃。专家提醒，定日县风力较大，夜间气温较低，震区群众需注意防寒保暖和防风。
