这是第62天读英文版《傲慢与偏见》。
上篇笔记讲到简和妹妹伊丽莎白对话，表达了对宾利的欣赏，她是怎么讲的呢？
“He is just what a young man ought to be,” said she, “sensible, good-humoured, lively; and I never saw such happy manners! — so much ease, with such perfect good breeding!”
这段话是简夸赞宾利的，但具体的意思是什么呢？
“他有着年轻人应该有的样子，” 她说，通情达理，好脾气，可爱；我从来没有见过修养这么好的人！从容自在，教养良好。
这段话到底说话者是贝太太还是大女儿简呢？
从上一篇笔记的文字看，应该是简，但从这个夸奖的语言看应该是贝太太，因为要是简说的，这个姑娘就少了羞涩和矜持，不符合身份。
对这个小说熟悉的读者可以指出来这里的“她”究竟是谁。

1. “He is just what a young man ought to be,” said she,
