三、深入解读
tenet源自于拉丁语动词tenere（持有），大约在16世纪晚期进入英语。它的意思是原则或信仰，特别是一种宗教或哲学的主要原则，或一个组织或职业普遍持有的信仰，比如“信奉团结、俭朴、勤奋的原则”就可以说“follow the tenets of unity, simplicity and industry”。另外tenet还是一个回文单词，即从右往左字母颠倒过来还是同一个单词，可以利用这个特点加深记忆。
