在她面前，约翰把他从事的工作吹得天花乱坠。
这个表达源于二战时期，是谚语"snowed under"（被雪埋着，表示隐藏或者受到重压）的化用，两个短语都跟下大雪有关，万物都被覆盖，从视野中消失。
snow还可以直接作动词，表示哄骗。
