US President Donald Trump told the nation in a televised speech on Wednesday night that the US military had nearly completed the goals it had set out to accomplish in its war with Iran and that the conflict would soon be ending.

特朗普称，伊朗发射导弹和无人机的能力已遭到“极大削弱”，武器工厂和火箭发射装置已“所剩无几”。他强调，对伊朗的打击中不需要他国协助。

Within moments of beginning his remarks, Trump described "swift, decisive and overwhelming" victories in the war, including the deaths of senior Iranian leaders and a "dramatically curtailed" ability to launch missiles and drones.

特朗普还表示，核威胁对美国的威胁巨大，奥巴马政府对伊朗今天对美国的核威胁有不可推卸责任。美军对伊朗核设施打击取得“巨大成功”，对美国和其他国家来说，成功减少核威胁。

特朗普在演讲中表示美国过去不需要霍尔木兹海峡，现在也不需要；接下来几周将对伊朗进行更强火力打击。

"We're going to hit them extremely hard over the next two to three weeks."

"The United States imports almost no oil through the Strait of Hormuz and won't be taking any in the future. We don't need it. We haven't needed it, and we don't need it," Trump said.
