爱尔兰素有“冬境”之称，其史诗与神话传统底蕴深厚。从中世纪海岛艺术的巅峰《凯尔经》和四大古爱尔兰语神话故事圈，到叶芝引领的凯尔特文艺复兴，乔伊斯《尤利西斯》中重塑的都柏林文学地图，贝克特荒诞而深邃的哲思剧场，再到希尼、默顿等当代爱尔兰诗人笔下的多维现实，这片翡翠之地的文学脉络绵延千载。本讲座将循着羊皮、考古与诗歌的线索，解读爱尔兰尤具代表性的文本与图像，带领听众走进其瑰丽的文化与文学地理，并以此分享主讲人旅居爱尔兰期间所著散文集《翡翠岛编年（十周年增订版）》——一场往来于异域与故乡之间的远航。
Known as Hibernia, Ireland is home to a profound epic and mythological tradition. From the pinnacle of Insular art, The Book of Kells, and the four medieval mythological cycles, to the Celtic Renaissance led by Yeats, the remapping of Dublin in Joyce’s Ulysses, the philosophical vision of Beckett’s theatre, and the multifaceted modern experience rendered by poets from Heaney to Muldoon, the literary lineage of Ireland spans millennia, interweaving romance, rebellion, and historical depth. Tracing the threads of vellum, archaeology, and poetry, this lecture explores some of the island’s most iconic texts and images, inviting the audience into its rich cultural and literary geography. It also marks the launch of Prof. Bao Huiyi’s Annal of the Emerald Isle—an immram that navigates between home and elsewhere, between the island and the world.
