US First Lady Melania Trump has denied connections to Jeffrey Epstein, telling reporters at the White House that any claims linking the two "need to end today". In a surprise announcement on Thursday, the first lady called for congressional hearings for survivors of Epstein's sex trafficking.

据《华尔街日报》报道，梅拉尼娅当天在白宫发表声明称，“那些将我与声名狼藉的爱泼斯坦联系起来的谎言必须在今天结束。那些散布关于我的谎言的人毫无道德标准、毫无谦卑之心，也不懂得尊重他人。”
梅拉尼娅表示，她此前从不知晓爱泼斯坦的任何虐待行为。她说：“我没有参与其中，从未搭乘过爱泼斯坦的飞机，也从未去过他的私人岛屿。”
"I have never had any knowledge of Epstein abuse of his victims," she said. "I was never involved in any capacity. I was not a participant." She also said she never visited Epstein's island or flew on Epstein's private plane.
梅拉尼娅说，她此举部分是为了回应社交媒体上流传的将她与爱泼斯坦联系起来的虚假图像和言论。她说：“这些图像和说法完全是假的。”
梅拉尼娅还表示，她从未与爱泼斯坦做过朋友。她还说，自己不是爱泼斯坦的受害者之一，也不是经由爱泼斯坦介绍认识特朗普的。
She said she had not been a victim of Epstein, with whom she only briefly "crossed paths" in 2000.
She also denied online rumours that Epstein introduced her to Donald Trump, calling them "mean-spirited attempts to defame my reputation".
She said that "fake images and statements" about her and Epstein have been circulating on social media for years now.
"Be cautious about what you believe," she said. "These images and stories are completely false."
爱泼斯坦与大批美国政商名流往来密切，因涉嫌性犯罪被捕后，于2019年8月在狱中死亡，并被判定为“自杀”。2025年12月19日，美国司法部开始在其网站公布爱泼斯坦案文件。文件中大量提及克林顿。
