近日，有网友在社交平台发帖称，中南财经政法大学在学生请假系统中新增“生理假”选项，引发广泛关注。
A Chinese university has drawn widespread attention after adding a "menstrual leave" option to its online absence request system, according to recent social media posts.
截图显示，在病假、事假、丧假等常规请假类别之外，学生可直接选择 “生理假” 进行申请。有学生发帖称，此前因经期不适请病假时，曾被要求提供相关证明。
Screenshots shared online show that students at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law can now select "menstrual leave" alongside conventional categories such as sick leave, personal leave, and bereavement leave. Some students had previously complained that they were asked to provide medical proof when applying for sick leave due to menstrual discomfort.
该校一名学生告诉中青报·中青网记者，这应该是近期系统更新后新增的功能，前两周请病假时还没有该选项。新增“生理假”后，申请流程无需再提交额外证明材料。
A student from the university told China Youth Daily that the new feature appeared to have been added after a recent system update — just two weeks ago, the option was not available. Under the new arrangement, students no longer need to submit additional documentation for menstrual leave.
另据大象新闻，中南财经政法大学党委学生工作部工作人员证实，学校请假系统近期更新，确已新增“生理假”功能，正处于测试阶段。
不少网友为学校这一极具人文关怀的举措点赞，并呼吁更多高校和地方加以普及。
Confirming the update, a staff member from the university's student affairs department told Daxiang News that the menstrual leave function is currently in a testing phase.
The move has been widely praised online as a sign of the university's student-centered care, with many calling on other institutions and local authorities to follow suit.

目前，已有不少地区相继推出“生理假”相关政策。
“痛经假”的概念最早可追溯到1993年。由原卫生部、全国总工会等5部门联合颁布的《女职工保健工作规定》中明确：患有重度痛经及月经过多的女职工，经医疗或妇幼保健机构确诊后，月经期间可适当给予1至2日的休假。
Menstrual leave policies have already been introduced in various regions across China. The concept dates back to 1993, when national regulations jointly issued by five departments stated that female employees suffering from severe dysmenorrhea or menorrhagia, confirmed by medical or maternal and child health institutions, may be granted one to two days of leave during menstruation as appropriate.
“生理假”目前已有北京、上海、浙江、云南等20个省、市，在地方性规定中明确女性劳动者可以休痛经假，休息时间普遍在1～2天，最长为3天。
