相关研究指出,目前全球商业种植的主流品种“华蕉”,因其无性繁殖的特性,导致整个种群基因高度趋同。正是这种缺乏多样性的现状,使得整个产业面临极高的风险:一旦遭遇某种致命病害,极易迅速扩散并导致大面积毁灭。

华蕉,又称卡文迪许(Cavendish),源于中国和越南,是目前全球商业种植最主要的香蕉品种。

The concern centers on the Cavendish banana (Musa acuminata), the dominant commercial variety globally, which originated from China and Vietnam. Unlike most fruit crops, Cavendish bananas are propagated asexually, resulting in a global population that is genetically nearly identical. This lack of diversity makes the entire industry highly vulnerable — a single aggressive disease could spread quickly and cause devastating losses.

对此,相关专家指出:全球香蕉品种多达1000余种,目前科学家也已通过杂交选育、基因工程及生态改良等多种手段积极应对病害威胁。
