秋凉暑热去

枝头的蝉鸣仍在聒噪，却挡不住暮色里悄然漫卷的凉意——这是立秋送来的密语。当二十四节气的指针划过这个特殊节点，盛夏的浓烈开始与秋日的清浅温柔相拥，邀我们共赴一场关于收获与沉淀的时光之约。

物候现象

中国古代一些文学作品将立秋分为三候：一候凉风至；二候白露生；三候寒蝉鸣。立秋过后，刮风时人们会感觉到凉爽，此时的风已不同于夏天中的热风；接着，早晨会有雾气产生，并且秋天感阴而鸣的寒蝉也开始鸣叫。

“初候凉风至”，立秋后，我国许多地方开始刮偏北风，偏南风逐渐减少。小北风给人们带来了丝丝凉意。

“二候白露降”，由于白天日照仍很强烈，夜晚的凉风刮来形成一定的昼夜温差，清晨时空气中的水蒸气在室外植物上凝结成了一颗颗晶莹的露珠。

“三候寒蝉鸣”，这时候的蝉，在这个节气中，食物是很多的，温度也是很适宜的，给人们一种炎热的天气已经过去，这个季节也是一个适合赏风景的时期。

Ancient Chinese literary works divide the Start of Autumn into three pentads: The first pentad sees cool winds arrive; the second sees white dews form; the third hears chilly cicadas chirp. After the Start of Autumn, winds feel refreshing, unlike the sweltering gusts of summer. Soon, mist appears in the early morning, and chilly cicadas—sensitive to autumn’s yin energy—begin to sing.

First pentad: Cool winds arriveAfter the Start of Autumn, northerly winds gradually prevail across many regions of China, while southerly winds fade. These mild northern breezes bring a hint of coolness.

Second pentad: White dews descendDaytime sunshine remains strong, yet cool night winds create a noticeable temperature difference between day and night. In the early morning, water vapour in the air condenses into glistening dewdrops on outdoor plants.

Third pentad: Chilly cicadas chirpAt this time of the solar term, cicadas have abundant food and favourable temperatures. Their chirps signal that intense heat has passed, making this a pleasant season for sightseeing.

传统习俗

立秋时，民间有祭祀土地神，庆祝丰收的习俗。在古代，民间在立秋收成后，会挑选一个黄道吉日，一方面祭拜感谢上苍与祖先的庇佑，另一方面尝试新收成的米谷，以庆祝辛勤换来的收获。此外民间还有在“立秋”这天“贴秋膘”“咬秋”“啃秋”等习俗。

On the Start of Autumn, folk traditions include worshipping the Earth God to celebrate the upcoming harvest. In ancient times, after autumn crops were gathered, people would choose an auspicious day. On one hand, they offered sacrifices to thank heaven, earth and ancestors for their blessings; on the other hand, they tasted newly harvested grains to celebrate the fruits of hard labour. Additionally, popular customs for this day include "putting on autumn fat", "biting autumn" and "gnawing autumn".
