本周我们学习和冷饮相关的词汇
1. chilled /tʃɪld/
adj.冰镇的；冷藏的
搭配：chilled beverages 冰镇饮料
serve something chilled 冰镇后食用/饮用
keep something chilled 把……冰镇着
e.g.On a scorching summer day, a chilled lemonade is incredibly refreshing.
e.g.This drink is best served chilled.
类似表达：ice-cold adj.冰凉的/冰爽的
e.g.On a scorching hot summer day, there's nothing better than an ice-cold drink.
e.g. Whenever I feel hot and sweaty, I like to grab an ice-cold Coke to cool down.
注：ice-cold 强调温度低，而 chilled 更侧重是冰镇后的。
2. quench /kwen(t)ʃ/
v. 止渴；解渴
搭配：quench one's thirst 止渴；解渴
e.g. I drank some water to quench my thirst.
e.g. An ice-cold drink is the best way to quench my thirst on a hot day.
adj. thirst-quenching 解渴的
e.g. Water is the most thirst-quenching drink after exercise.
e.g. A glass of ice-cold lemonade is both refreshing and thirst-quenching.
3. fizzy drink /ˈfɪzi drɪŋk/
n. 气泡水
e.g.I rarely drink fizzy drinks because they contain a lot of sugar.
e.g.Although fizzy drinks taste good, drinking them too often isn't good for your health.
美式：soda
e.g.Some people prefer diet soda because it contains less sugar.
e.g. On a hot summer day, an ice-cold soda can be really refreshing.
补充：diet soda 无糖汽水
4. gulp /gʌlp/
v. 吞食；大口吃；狼吞虎咽
搭配：gulp (down) a drink 大口猛灌
gulp down food 狼吞虎咽地吃
e.g. I gulped down a bottle of water after my workout.
e.g. He gulped down an ice-cold Coke because he was so thirsty.
e.g.He was so hungry that he gulped down his lunch in five minutes.
n. gulp 一大口
搭配：take a gulp of 一大口……
in one gulp 一口气
e.g.She emptied the bottle in one gulp.
e.g. After jogging in the park, I took a gulp of ice-cold water, and it immediately quenched my thirst.
