本周我们学习和博物馆相关的词汇
1. provenance /'prɒv(ə)nəns/
n.来源；出处[尤指文物、艺术品或展品的来源、出处和完整历史]
搭配：trace the provenance of 追溯…的来源
e.g. The artifact is of unknown provenance.
e.g. The guide explained the provenance of the painting, including how it was passed down through generations.
e.g. Historians attempt to trace the provenance of the manuscript back to the Tang Dynasty.
近义搭配：origin n. 来源
e.g. I visited a museum where I learned about the origin of ancient Chinese calligraphy.
e.g. It is important to understand the origin of cultural practices to appreciate their significance.

2. delve /delv/
v.探究;钻研
搭配：delve into 深入研究 / 探究某个主题
e.g. Museums encourage the public to delve into history rather than passively consume information.
e.g. By delving into the past, people can gain a deeper understanding of cultural identity.
e.g. Before the trip, I delved into the history of the city.
3. age-old/ˈeɪʤˈoʊld/
adj.古老的；存在已久的
搭配：age-old traditions/ customs/ practices/beliefs
e.g. Modern lifestyles have challenged many age-old traditions.
e.g. I think it’s important to pass down age-old traditions to younger generations.
近义表达：time-honored 历史悠久且广受尊重的
e.g. Globalization poses a threat to time-honored cultural practices.
e.g. Museums serve as guardians of time-honored values.
4. curate /ˈkjurət/
v.[精心]策划、组织展览或内容
搭配: curate content/an exhibition 策划内容/展览
e.g. Digital museums can now curate content for a global audience.
e.g. Museums play an important role in curating collections that reflect cultural heritage.
n. curator (博物馆或美术馆的)馆长
e.g. The curator of the exhibition carefully selected artifacts to highlight the historical significance of the era.
