You bet 不是“你打赌”，I bet 同样也不只是“我打赌”的意思，它的含义会随着具体的使用场景不同而变化。那它到底有什么意思？又怎么用呢？来听今天的节目

场景1

I used to say that you are fairly sure that something is true, something is happening etc, although you cannot prove this.

虽然不能证明，但是你十分确定某件事情是真的，某件事情发生了，就可以说这句话。

Your English has improved a lot! I bet you spent a lot of time praticing it.

（称赞英文好）你英文进步了好多！我肯定你花了很多时间联系。

I bet you're tired after such a long journey.

（接机/接站专用）这么长的旅行后，我想你肯定累坏了。

I bet that you are really sad when your grandma passed away.

（安慰人专用）你奶奶去世的时候，你肯定很伤心。

场景2

l used to show that you understand or can imagine the situation that someone has just told you about.

如果能够理解或者想象某人跟你说的那种情况，就可以说这句话。

My throat really hurts when I swallow.

我吞东西的时候，喉咙很痛。（身体不适）

I bet.

我可以理解

I just had a hard day at the office.

我在办公室的日子不好过。（工作不易）

I bet.

可以想象。

l used to show that you do not believe what someone has just told you.

如果不相信，某人跟你说的话，就可以说这句话。

I swear I won't stay up late again.

我保证再也不熬夜了。（熬夜党专用）

Yeah, I bet!

屁咧！

I am going to lose ten kilograms in a month!

我这个月要瘦10千克！（减肥党专用）

Yeah, I bet!
