今天，复旦大学发布讣告，著名核物理学家、教育家、中央文史研究馆馆员、中国科学院院士、复旦大学原校长、英国诺丁汉大学原校长、宁波诺丁汉大学校长杨福家教授，因病于2022年7月17日在上海逝世，享年86岁。

杨福家校长是宁波诺丁汉大学的创校校长，学校谨代表全体师生、校友对杨福家校长的逝世表示沉痛哀悼！

杨福家校长告别仪式将于8月9日10时在上海龙华殡仪馆大厅（漕溪路210号）举行。

因疫情等因素，上海的告别仪式在人数上有所限制。有意参加仪式、发送唁电或代办花圈的宁波诺丁汉大学师生、校友，请与治丧工作小组联系（联系人及具体注意事项请点击或文末“阅读原文”查看复旦大学发布的讣告）。

按照相关防疫要求，参加仪式的人员需持在上海市检测的24小时内核酸阴性证明、健康码绿码并全程佩戴N95口罩。

宁波诺丁汉大学将于秋季开学后在校内举办杨福家校长追思会，日期初定9月下旬。此外，为纪念杨福家校长在宁波诺丁汉大学创建与发展过程中做出的卓越贡献，学校决定将以杨福家校长的名义命名一栋教学楼。

Obituary of President Yang Fujia

Fudan University released an obituary today after the passing away of President Yang Fujia in Shanghai on 17 July 2022 at the age of 86 due to illness. President Yang Fujia was known by many as the former President of Fudan University, former Chancellor of the University of Nottingham in the UK and the President of University of Nottingham Ningbo China. He was also a renowned nuclear physicist, an educator, member of the China Central Institute for Culture and History, and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

President Yang Fujia was one of the founding members of the University of Nottingham Ningbo China. On behalf of all staff, students and alumni, the University would like to express condolences to the family of President Yang Fujia.

The funeral ceremony of President Yang Fujia will be held at 10 am on 9 August, in the Longhua Funeral Parlour (No. 210 Caoxi Road), Shanghai.

Due to pandemic prevention and control measures, funerals in Shanghai can only be attended by a limited number of people. Staff, students or alumni of the University of Nottingham Ningbo China who wish to attend the funeral ceremony, send messages of condolences or flowers, please contact the Professor Yang Fujia Funeral Work Group (for contact information and other details, please click or “read more” at the end of the article to view the obituary issued by Fudan University).

According to the pandemic prevention and control policy, anyone who wishes to attend the funeral ceremony must provide a negative report of the nucleic acid test taken in Shanghai that is dated within the past 24 hours, a green health code and wear an N95 mask throughout the ceremony.

The University of Nottingham Ningbo China will also hold a memorial service for President Yang Fujia on campus in the Autumn semester. The date is tentatively set for late September.

Furthermore, in recognition of President Yang Fujia’s outstanding contributions to the founding and development of the University of Nottingham Ningbo China, the University has hereby decided to name one of the teaching buildings on campus after him.
