莫道桑榆晚，为霞尚满天。

我在60岁时，突发其想，大胆尝试艺术创作，而后又精益求精，不断出版，到处展览，一点都不在乎别人的贬抑和异色眼光。一转眼就过了十一年了。我现在（2024）已经是一个71岁的老人家。以下是我老人的感受，唐朝诗人刘禹锡有句名言，是他当年奉劝白居易的诗句：「莫道桑榆晚，为霞尚满天。」我亦有同感，愿与大家分享。

我们老年人，若是能够在年老时，从事艺创作，留下一些东西给后人，也是一件很快乐的事情。写作，写书，写字，写诗，写歌，或是作画，雕塑，摄影，插花，等等艺术创作，都会有属于自己原创的作品留下，值得自己和后人去纪念。当我们看过去的往事，相片，成败，影片，日记，情史，信件时心中难免感伤，叹年华老去，不禁悲从心来，负面情绪居多。但是若是能够看到自己过去创作的诗，书，画，歌，字，摄影和雕塑作品，那都会惊叹连连，觉得不可思议！

因此到了老年，尽管出版自己的作品，尽管展览自己的作品，尽管让自己享受一下「无中生有」的乐趣。这种乐趣，就像是老年得子一样，在生命逐渐失去时，尚能看到了新生命和希望。人生充满希望，生命便充满活力，艺术创作会使人活力满满，精神愉悦，当然也就福如东海，寿比南山。
