据奔流新闻报道,广州地铁工作人员表示,该出入口设计灵感来源于木棉花花瓣,装修完成后外观将是圆柱体,设计颜色本应为木棉花的橙红色,但因照片色差被呈现为深红色。

另据澎湃新闻报道,知情人士称,该出入口翻新工程由第三方公司负责建设,尚未完工。当前的效果与最初的设计方案及颜色有不小的差异,因争议大,已进行拆除。
