本周，《纽约客》正式公布2025年美国国家图书奖五大奖项入围长名单的作品，包括青少年文学、翻译文学、诗歌、非虚构及小说等五个类别，这里有你认识的作者和读过的书吗？不妨来看看吧！
小说类
本届长名单中，五位作家曾在《纽约客》发表过短篇小说：苏珊·崔（Susan Choi）（她的作品同样入围了布克奖长名单）、乔纳斯·哈森·克米里（Jonas Hassen Khemiri）、凯伦·拉塞尔（Karen Russell）、布莱恩·华盛顿（Bryan Washington）与乔伊·威廉姆斯（Joy Williams）。凯文·莫菲特（Kevin Moffett）的《独子》（Only Son）与伊桑·卢瑟福（Ethan Rutherford）的《北方的太阳：或埃斯特捕鲸船航行记》（North Sun: Or, the Voyage of the Whaleship Esther）两部作品均为作者的小说首作。名单中八位作家曾获美国国家图书奖提名。

非虚构类
三月刊《纽约客》曾节选李翊云的回忆录《自然万物只是生长》（Things in Nature Merely Grow），作品记述其子詹姆斯与文森特相继自尽的悲痛经历。"任何言辞都难以承受这般沉重：文字终究苍白无力"，她在书写詹姆斯之死时，重新审视那些惯常的悼念用语。"但即便陈词滥调也承载着不可辩驳的真相。为詹姆斯写下的每个字都注定残缺。终有一天，我的理解会与他的本质彻底割裂"。奥马尔·埃尔·阿卡德（Omar El Akkad）的著作《终有一日，世人皆言从未赞同此事》（One Day, Everyone Will Have Always Been Against This）抨击西方世界对以色列加沙战争的默许纵容，同样直面了死亡面前语言的局限性。这两部作品皆入选本届长名单，该类别还收录了来自越南、俄罗斯与伊朗的回忆录及纪实文学。十位作家均首获美国国家图书奖提名。
