Complete, But Not Done
Learning to trust the life I’m building while still being curious about where it takes me.
A fresh start isn’t about becoming someone completely new. It’s about giving the person you’ve worked so hard to become somewhere new to grow.
The reef tank glows quietly in the corner of the room, casting a soft blue light across the walls.
I watch the corals move with the current. I built this little ecosystem piece by piece, and now it has a life of its own. Things grow. Things change. Some things don’t make it. Some surprise me entirely.
It needs attention, patience, and care.
It also reminds me of something I am beginning to understand about myself.
Growth doesn’t happen all at once.
Sometimes you look up one day and realize something that has been changing slowly for a very long time has finally become visible.
That happened to me recently.
Not during some enormous milestone. Not on a stage. Not when I accomplished something I had been chasing for years.
It happened in a quiet moment when I realized I wasn’t carrying the same weight anymore.
My shoulders dropped.
I took a breath.
And I smiled.
Ahhhhhh.
