WHO WE ARE?

Zhejiang University (ZJU) is located in Hangzhou, the capital city of Zhejiang Province (one of the most developed provinces in China). Hangzhou used to be famous for the beautiful West Lake, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and now it is a hub of China’s thriving private economy, e-commerce and digital technologies, ideal for conducting business research.

Here, entrepreneurship is deeply embedded in local culture and historic tradition, and that is why the term ‘zheshang’ (literally, business persons from Zhejiang Province) has become a piece of common Chinese vocabulary.

Qiushi Distinguished Scholar

求是特聘教授

Applicants with full professorship (or an equivalent title) in a prominent university (Qiushi Distinguished Clinicianrequires both professor and chief physician in principle); with recognized academic achievements in his/her field of study and capability of leading the discipline to catch up or maintain the international advanced level, and with excellent organizational leadership ability.

Tenured Professor/Tenured Associate Professor

Applicants should be permanent faculty members of high-level universities at home and abroad.

Tenured ProfessorScholars with recognized academic achievements in his/her field of study, achieve outstanding achievements in teaching, research and talent cultivation, reaching the equivalent level of tenured professor at a prominent university.

Applicants with a doctorate degree from a world-renowned university and a formal teaching or research position as assistant or associate professor (or an equivalent title) at an internationally prominent university; a top-notch talent among his or her peers, with the ability to independently establish and develop a research orientation and a potential to become an academic leader in his/her respective field.

Postdoctoral Researcher

博士后研究人员

Applicants should be under the age of 35 with a doctorate degree obtained in recent years, excellent in personal qualities and academic performance, with good academic development potential and international vision, and able to work full-time at ZJU.
